Hey! Its so cool to see so many familiar faces here! I always enjoyed your works.

You were around during the Cave Deli board days, right? I encountered some youtube documentaries on him somewhat recently and it compelled me to come back. I really miss drawing in these applets - Paint Tool Sai just isn't the same!

I hope you found a replacement tablet pen in the meanwhile. Unbelievably, I still have the exact same tablet since I first joined the board (though I've had several different computers since) lol. They must have built those old Wacoms to last :lol:

lol Shmorks probably made lots of people feel bad! He was one of the internet's first superstars so I think he just responded to a few contributors leaving the rest of us feeling scorned or something. But I'll never forget one time I was on the VCL chat-room and he was there, he was fucking HILARIOUS the whole time making jokes about current events and shit. He was largely ignoring everyone else on the chat but it turned out later he was mourning the loss of a friend and we didn't even know it. Since then I've always thought he was one of the good guys for some reason. The weird thing is is that I haven't even looked at any of his stuff in AGES! But anyhow... It's exceptionally cool to see you backi Balki! I hope you stick around and do some of your excellent cartooning like days gone by...

Haha yeah Shmorks got on my case one time for drawing myself "too attractive," which is hilarious to me because I almost never draw representations of myself. It might have even been that comment that subconsciously made me to decide to represent myself as a gray alien when drawing my own "avatar" ever came up.

The docs - and his kiwifarms thread - are interesting to say the least. I had no idea he was trying to cyber with other ladies on the board back then. But beyond that, I had been completely unaware of the "mainstream" success he had attained (and in some cases, even squandered?). That "this is fine dog," omg I had no idea that was him, but when I had seen it on Adult Swim I remembered it looking like his work.

It feels like a nostalgia bomb to be back and I am LOVING Chickenpaint. It's so cool to see and interact with people again in this "forgotten medium," and I look forward to more of it!

It hurts me that he drew a shit ton of furry porn and made a long-running comic that used furries as allegories against bigotry and discrimination... but as soon as he was hired by a "serious" company he flipped and he was all "fuck furries, furries are all sick pervs". Even if his new job required him to feign respectability, didn't need to go back and shit all over his origins and his old fans. Being a sellout is one thing and going out of your way to hurt your former buddies is another, he even made an animated short about killing furries.

I had no idea he was as mixed up as this video says, even it it does seem like 90% speculation/rumours. I always thought he was super successful and had a stable life or something. I mean holy fuck I thought MY life was screwed up. This is making my head spin, I never really followed him or anyone online. I still give him (and everyone) a pass on things in the past even though Pig's totally right, he started raggin' on furries real bad which was a HUGE letdown to say the least, there was a whole bunch of furry artists about that time who did this. Trying to pretend they weren't furries after they had been on the VCL for so long. That in itself isn't Lawfull Evil but when artists would 'quit' the fandom and then try so hard to be with the 'normal' cartoonists and joining in with all the rock throwing it was ridiculous.
I don't even think I even joined the Cave Deli Smut Oekaki because all the vicious drama that was going on. And I mean fucking vicious. At the time it seemed to me it was some good artists ganging up on the less talented artists and was getting very personal. There was a ton of bad feelings going on. Then he shut it down and the Wackinkaki took it's place and we were left with a more chill group of cartoonists, furry and 'mundane' together but a lot less drama. That was about the time I joined up I'm pretty sure. I was always worried to post anything because you all know my skill level... Thinking about it now it got better when Shmorks was taken out of the equation. And even saying that I still don't blame Shmorks for all the online hatred people were throwing around, I think there were a lot of people trying to get his attention trying to get into some kind of exclusive online clique and Shmorks was pretty much ignoring most people (but still throwing furries under the bus, there's no doubt!)
I don't even know what my point is, I'm just glad to be here in this totally ignored part of the internet trying to be funny...

My other thought on this episode is that they look like a couple of talking penises arguing with each other...which also seems appropriate for LUST! :crazy:

I traded in my furry card years ago to get invested in the Warcraft fandom. More recently, I bought a Huion Kamvas 13 Screen Tablet, and it has paid DIVIDENDS. This genuinely might be my favorite piece in YEARS.

I have a Bamboo Touch CTT-460 tablet, but it's missing the pen. I have tried to find it on eBay but nobody sells the pen alone. I watching another tablet yesterday but someone won it. Any recommendations? I'd like to buy a simple tablet, it doesn't need to be very advanced (remember I'm poor) just something I can use to draw here again.

I'd ask around on FA if you haven't already, there's probably someone there with the pen that would be happy to help out the world famous Pig! If you buy a brand new tablet I wouldn't recommend the one I have unless you're using a PC then it would likely be good to use. Even if you don't get something that's compatible with Wac's oekaki no one's going to complain with your uploads, this pic just proves that it's awesome.

I can tell you what to be wary of I bought ugee tablet which was pritty fancy and big but it was also filmsy the cable broke inside and I later found out it was common problem with them.
A lot of the new tablets seem to be going the way of bluethooth which seems like a pointless expence since most folk sit at there desk to draw, I opted wired but it took the price a good bit down.
Even with a wacom and windows 10 I still have to use edge to get brush sizes and I'm still not convinced chickenpaint work right.

I bought a used Bamboo (model unknown) sans pen, hoping one from a Graphire, Intuos or Cintique would work. No dice, but there were complete units on Ebay cheaper than buying just a replacement pen from Wacom: unit is now working.

BTW: heard of a woman who had to buy 2 new pens when hers went, sequentialy, missing. She found them later, in the back of a closet stuck it a sock, hidden within ANOTHER sock. Turns out her pet ferrets were to blame.

Yeah, I have two tablets with missing pens and a pen from a different tablet won't work on them. I just received my new (refurbished) Wacom one tablet. I'll test it later

Heyo Brentos, I bought my tablet from Monoprice, because it was the cheapest son of a bitch I could find :V But it's sure been a good one! I hope they're still making the same model because if this one ever craps out on me, I'd prefer to just replace it with a duplicate instead of upgrading to something flashier with a bunch of features I'd never use

I bought a intuos 4100 but I kinda have a bit of buyer's remorse cause I don't really do enough digital drawing to justify it and the way I like to draw I'am not really getting the benfit of the better pressure sensitivity although the better DPI is great.

Getting clip studio with it was what swayed me even though I'm probably not use it very much.

Yours is the same model as mine, is that why you coloured it this way? I'd be able to do it like that too but I can't change the pixel size to anything but '1'. Can you change your pixel size? Also what kind of computer do you use? I'm using a Mac. :gamer:

That seems to be my problem, having a Mac. I was quite happy with the results on my PC a few years ago until it imploded on itself and became un-useable. I'm amazed windows hasn't scrapped Edge completely by now, I thought they were going to get rid of it. Hopefully they don't.
I haven't really looked into it but shouldn't Mac have their own drawing tablet by now? Macs were supposed to be the choice of graphic artists and all that jazz but they're like miles behind it seems now...
