I've decided to start doing more original pixel art. I got out of practice with it and decided to lovingly render my DnD character Arolan in the medium. As you can see, I'm pretty rusty.

Arolan is a Lvl 5 Eladrin Sorcerer. He's also a cowboy.

Also, right here in these comments, and I promise it's true this time... Provide me with a picture and I will draw you on paper. Humans, avatars, whatthefuckever.

@Blendermouth: Yeah, it's a gun-shapped dagger. A Tooth of Chaos +1 to be exact, and it's the implement through which Arolan channels his spells. The dagger changes shape in the user's hand so it can be more efficient and what's more efficient at shooting people than a gun!?

Making original pixel art from scratch is an eye-killing process to be sure. It looks like your skill in making it still has good bones, though.

What a color work. The animation is indeed astonishing. I wouldn't have think it was possible to correct a pose on a finished piece like this.

On my own, I found the very first pose and the dismissed pose more balanced and nifty... you know, with a overall motion in it which makes the thing nice looking. However the dismissed pose looks actually much better to me with the right leg not stand up, like in your first "shoot" of it. Once you decided this leg to be up... well... it didn't work anymore. I know you're fond of big feet, but this time it looked somewhat too much to me.

I can't even tell how I dare criticize!

@ Calli - The hands and knees one or the leg up ? and yeah I basically liked them both more then what it is now but he was happy with this pose

@ Miellaby - With time and work you can fix most anything :3 The first doodle pose was nice but the guy asked for a silly pose so I did the leg up pose to cover that. Then he told me he wanted a more sensible pose...so yeah hence the big shift haha and please criticize! I can take it when if know its not done out of malice but to help <3
@ Xod - I hope to change how I deal to commissions to make sure it wont happen again hehe ^^

She was based off a Axis deer at first then I gave her small velvety antlers and dark not light spots so she's not really any real breed of deer anymore,and her wings are due to the fact that deer make me think of freedom and grace when I watch them. Which also makes me think of wings. I wasn't aware of any other winged deer, not that I'd be shocked to see others I don't think there's many things that haven't had wings tacked on some time or another.
