suggestion/question about the new version
Is it possible to set a default avatar for people who haven't set one? just so the layout of the posts/comments is consistent visually.
also any steps take to implement what i asked in this topic: http://www.ninechime.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1069 or just ditching the idea?

I don't like the idea of a default avatar, but a blank spacer would be fine. I'll see what that looks like.
As for the latest picture report, I think I was overthinking the problem and trying to make something too complicated. It would be easy to make a script that works with a switch, so set the switch to "1" and it just prints a text message stating what the last picture is. If the switch is set to "2", it creates key/value pairs that can be parsed by a script. The result is written to a file, such as "latest.txt" every time a new picture is posted. I think I'll go with that, and put it on my 1.5.6 to-do list.
