While waiting for help on my other post, I decided to set up a new database and a second oekaki. However, since upgrading to Waxy 5.5.13, I can't run it in Safari any longer. It says I am an invalid user, but it won't let me log out:-( I never had that problem with 5.5.12, and since 5.5.13 didn't solve my ban by IP issue, I'd like to go back so I can continue to use Safari. However, I can't find it anywhere, and it was overwritten when I updated the original oekaki. Thanks in advance:-)

What version of Safari are you using? I have a Mac, so I can check this.

Safari 2.0.4, iMac G5 OS 10.4.9, Wax 5.5.13, the link is here: http://www.thechaogarden.com/oekaki_friends

I think perhaps because I installed and deleted it a few times, Safari is trying to log me in automatically under one of the older admin passwords, but the fact that it won't let me log out is bothersome because now I HAVE to use Firefox to visit it, and I really prefere Safari.

Sounds like the cookie is corrupt. If you do any major maintenance on the board, the old cookie may not work properly. This is quite common, actually, and is usually related to the cookie path.

Go to the Safari menu, and select Preferences. Click the Security tab and then Show Cookies.

From here, you can either delete all cookies (logs you out of every forum/board you visit regularly), or you can delete only the cookies named "OekakiU" and "OekakiPass" matching your website domain. You should then be able to log in again.
