I've re-enabled chat on my website, but neither of the chat scripts work.

When I upload the files for the old chat, there's no place to type in messages. The list of users and the chatlog are visible. Perhaps I'm missing files?

When I upload the files for the new chat, the window never finishes loading.

So, um, help please? ^^;

I can understand why the new chat would hang as it requires a persistent connection, and PHP doesn't do that well. The old chat system shouldn't have an issue, though. Could I have a URL so I can check it out?

I've only got two chat files for the old chat, 'chat.php' and 'chatbox.php'. I thought maybe there was another one I was missing, but I re-downloaded a full copy of Wacintaki 1.2.0 and there was no third file (none that I could see, anyway).

Works for me. You have to view chatbox.php, not chat.php, for it to work. When you re-enable the chat from the control panel, the link at the top of the page points to chatbox.php.

I have no idea how the link in the menu got changed from chatbox.php to chat.php. I know I haven't messed with it lately... Must have been one of the other admins who did it while adding the Links link.
