B4rts b4rt! But as for the tail, most cartoon versions I've seen have the bands. I could change it to be more proper, in fact I think I will now that I think about it. There's a lot to know about tanuki folklore (seriously, there's a whole shit load of stuff about them!). It is true that tanukis are traditionally believed to be the spiritual embodiment of household items that have been in a home for one hundred years is it not? Holy crap I hope that's right because I've already written that into the story long ago.

I'm always bad at commenting on ongoing projects, but I wanted to say I have read the entire Lust strip and think it's great! Not only that but pretty monumental as an effort, too. You've put a lot of steady time and thought and line-miles into it!

I admit, a lot of it goes right over my head. I didn't even realize it was based on Lost, since I had never seen Lost. I thought it might be based loosely on Troma's War of all things. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfDzF2oN7Tc

Oh man, that seriously means a lot to me, Coon. I really like these segments too but have been worried because the ratio of comedy-to-exposition is pretty bad in them. They're important though because what happens in them has a lot to do with the future story line so I keep doing them with all the heavy dialogue.

I'm about to click on your link right now and have no idea what to expect now... (I've never heard of Troma's War, sounds Greek or something...)

Oh, no, I think misleading someone into thinking a Troma movie is anything as profound as Greek history... Even unintentionally... Is grounds for instant damnation! I should have added a note like "Warning, this link leads to a cheeseball exploitation movie. You probably don't wanna click it."

Troma's War is just an 80's film that had a lot of eerie similarities to Lost, so since I'd seen it but never seen Lost, it led to a surreal misunderstanding on my part.

Oh well! I'm goin' to Hell for that I am sure.

I watched about 30 minutes of it before getting too tired. I'm amazed at the obvious similarities and how many there are. I'd have to say ol' what's his name was totally inspired by this. And it appears that this Troma productions is the same people who made Toxic Avenger one of the classic B movies.

Okay, here I put something through an English to Latin translator. It's a pretty shitty translator apparently because when I translated it back to English it made no fucking sense whatsoever. Mostly true. I haven't been in a lodge for years now. But technically once initiated you are in for life (unless you are expelled for a dishonorable crime) I have changed my personal philosophy over time to the point right now it's incompatible with the tenets of Freemasonry, but I still have respect for my "brothers".

I was thinking about the very first thing I ever drew on the old Smut Oekaki when I did this. It was a snake smoking a cigarette while trying to be all suave and debonaire at this girl snake who HAD MASCARA ON HER EYELASHES. This was way before I had ever heard of Captain Beefheart from the likes of Fig, Alanna and Danielle. And here we are all these years later. I remember I was so embarrassed by my not so great art and then Tha Pig said something like "hey Brentos, glad you're here" and Xod made a comment about how the girl snake turned him on or something. If it wasn't for those awesome guys I wouldn't even be here so blame them.

Is that a weird story or what because it's a true story. It just blows my fucking mind man.

i don't know who you are, personally, but i've had a 'crush' (a sentimental, empathetic (and somewhat pathetic)) sincere love for two now women named Fig and Danielle...

And I also love 'Hot Rats' sung by Captain Beefheart, however, when a friend of mine left a Captain Beefheart CD (Trout Mask something...) in my car, and Danielle played it, she was unimpressed.

What does this all mean?

I saw Steven Wright at the Scottish Right (sp?) theater. So yeah.. coincidences shall happen.

That is a weird story. But I can see how that girl didn't like the Captain, it's not exactly normal music. In fact it's kind of weird that there are any girls at all that like the Captain. Practically everyone I've introduced to the Captain has hated it the fucking normals.
