Text-to-image generators are small simulated brains which have learned to progressively remove noise from images to the point that they can generate a new image from pure noise and some textual description. The technology matured this year and now any amateur can download such a brain copy, put it on a server or personal computer and make it generate amazing pictures. During these last monthes, people also put back some brains in training by feeding them with porn and yiff. So now one can download a small brain who will happily produce as much naughty pictures as you want.

Now if you want to make your AI generate art in your own style, and not generic stereotyped anthro art, you need more AI tooling so to inject your style in the AI's skillset. I've not tried this yet, so as an artist I've been quite disappointed by what I get. For example, I can't put a satisfying kangaroo tail to this nude character. I'd like her to have a kind of shark/otter/dragon tail but any attempt of mine to modify the IA inputs fails miserably.

AI is taking over...Art now will become a "hobby" at most, like coloring in a coloring book or painting a pumpkin at Halloween. It's over, man! xD

Lol I heard all about this a while ago - the Japanese have pretty much perfected these AI image generators but they are now being used for various "bad things" I won't say what but just imagine and you will know what I am talking about. Kiwifarms has a thread about it in any case.

My gut-feeling is that downloading one of these 'brain copies' is a horrible idea because the main feature of AI is that it writes its own code. The establishment's excuse for all the things Edward Snowden has proven is 'hey it's all done by privately owned corporations so it's not the government so it's OK'. In the future they're going to say 'hey it's all done by AI so it's not a privately owned corporation so it's OK'.
Except the only problem is the AI has written code 'to survive' so it'll be impossible to get rid of. Even if you go out and buy a new computer.

I realized a few months ago that LiquidCrystalDelay https://www.ninechime.com/deep/profile.php?user=LiquidCrystalDelay was one the many secret avatars of Albert Temple.

He was always very supportive with me. He inked and colorized several doodles of mine. When you think about it, creating so much personalities and full of life stories for absolutely no reason -not even for internet fame- till his very last day on Earth, is an impressive way to give meaning to Life. I respect that a lot. Respects given.

By the way, I read the whole Lust saga and Future Pig issues these last days. Brentos, Pavel, I admire you as much as Mr Temple. I wanted to say thank you for taking the time to give us some of the best weird adult comics ever made.

I didn't even know he passed away. I didn't know him but always thought he was a nice guy back in the VCL days. This is such a great memorial pic for him too. I'm thinking this could have been an album cover from some 1962 beat-jazz record. He would have loved it I'm sure.

Here is my own enlightening:

There is no single reality. There are an infinity of it (or none if it does make a difference).

At every instant We Humankind share a single reality snapshot. However, at an individual level, one comes from one's very personal past reality and one goes into one's very personal future reality.

I've also theorized my own multiverse theory as a framework for this POV:

The physical universe is infinite in size and everything so that there are statistically an infinity of earths dispatched everywhere and a myriad of Earths in a state as close as you want to the one we both share right now.

Meanwhile in the metaphysical plan, were just a thought, that is a running state for an algorithm powered by flesh and blood.

So, my conviction is that my consciousness state is occurring on a bunch of Earth's at the same time, which differs only by things not impacting this state while forming different available pasts and futures

I feel like I can partly select which Earth will host my consciousness at the next instant, simply by focusing on the rights feelings and memories.

Thats being said, I still feel like nothing matters sometimes.

Miellaby: I too am tripped out by how our thoughts literally alter the universe. I was first exposed to that very concept from an old episode of Star Trek Next Gen and it blew my mind. The idea of our personal decisions creating actual physical universes into existence is something we might never know, but the first part of the concept is definenately true when you think about it. It's amazing. When a raindrop randomly lands in one place or another there's no thought involved but it could determine the eventual course of a major river and canyon which could separate the habitat of a species causing the creation of separate evolutions in species. And then there's animals, which might not 'think' the way we do but 'merely' behave in a small set of 'decisions'. What if a deer decides one of three or four reactions that it might make in escaping a predator and that one instance again changes evolution in a way that determines future species that can be domesticated or not domesticated. This would effect future human achievements and entire civilizations! Fuckin' brain explode!

But anyhow, when Caitlin Johnstone is writing about Expansion Of Consciousness she's not talking about the individual but rather society as a whole. She means this happens organically without any direction from one person or group of people. Every time an Expansion Of Consciousness happens the human experience becomes better for more people in some way. That's what I get from it.

But don't worry, in the great scheme of things I admit yes none of it matters as far as the universe goes unless we can solve the problem of limited energy and space/time, but I get a kick out of watching what happens from her way of looking at it.
