Layer/zoom issues?

Hey guys, one of my board's members is having problems when she tries drawing on Shi-painter and BBS.

It sounds like a comp/memory issue to me, but she says those are all up to snuff. I figured you guys might have some idea for a fix that I'm not aware of.

Here's how she described the issue:

SS:
I'll zoom in to do detailed line art in black
and then I zoom out to erase the sketch
and nothing happens
the eraser will move but nothing erases
then if I upload it, the erase lines are there
so I'm blindly erasing

Megan:
you're inking on a new layer, right?

SS:
yes

Megan:
have you tried just deleting or unchecking the sketch layer?
or wait, is it not letting you zoom back out?

SS:
yeah, but then sometimes during the coloring layer, it'll happen again with zooming
no it lets me zoom
but the more I zoom in and out the more unreliable it gets

Re: Layer/zoom issues?

Wow, I just tried this and it does the same for me.  I'm at a loss to offer a fix, though, because I didn't write the drawing program.  sad

I think it has to do with how the applet handles the screen updates, rather than something wrong with the computer.
