BACKGROUND:

Nokino is a 30-something purebred Australian Dingo who grew up near the farming fringe of the Outback, in the vast grasslands beyond the mountains, just west of the coastal cities.  Born to a group of settlers with strong ties to aboriginal tribes, her family resembles hippies that actually own land and rent out rooms of their ranch to travelers heading to other towns in the south.  She spent much of her early life exploring the bushlands and connecting with the great outdoors, though was always too close to civilization to be considered "wild".  She used to be a tomboy until she reached maturity.  She tries to convince herself that she still is.

She met her future husband, Darryl, while he was on a remote camping trip for a couple weeks during college break.  Even at the tender age of 16, she was a wild and curious cowgirl, courting her gullible 20-year-old squeeze with a variety of supposedly local customs, namely, observing the stars deep in the fields while topless.  Upon leaving, he promised to return on his next college break.  After miscalculating her cycle and accidentally becoming pregnant with fraternal twins, Nokino contacted her now distant partner and begged to live with him on campus.  Although Darryl was still in college, he accepted the responsibility, and Nokino ran away from home to live with her lover in the suburbs of Sydney.  Despite the panic and uncertainty of such a spurrious relationship, and the constant pleas of her parents to return home, Nokino proved to be very accomodating and reliable, and she and Darryl became inseparable.

After Darryl graduated from college, the two were married in the city notary office, and a few years later, another child followed, bringing the family to five.  They have the deepest and most mutual love of all the Backing Out cast.

Eventually, a new opportunity opened up for her husband and they decided to relocate to the USA, hopeful that her man's new government research job will offer a comfortable and less stressful lifestyle.  She doesn't have her own job throughout her youth, preferring to care for the children.

An immaterial and creative person, she regularly sells her crafts and creations to keep her home free of clutter, but never starts a home business.  Once her husband's contract is up, she wants to move away from the Boston area to a less thickly-settled dwelling... and preferably somewhere warmer.

FUTURE:

Nokino lives a long and happy life, but secretly regrets never having any kind of career.  Following her husband's untimely death, she engrosses herself in her hobbies and keeps busy with a part-time job, despite being able to depend on the enormous wealth of her sons.  She can't stand living in an empty house, so her hobbies are largely outdoors.  Ever independent and resourceful, she also regularly travels abroad, to completely random destinations, for a few weeks at a time.  She never remarries, but remains socially active and has many friends and attends many clubs and charitable functions.

PERSONALITY:

She's one of those worldly cowgirl types that's occasionally belligerent and a bit rough around the edges, but also warm, playful, and very sarcastic.  She values a relaxed and somewhat conservative future for her family.  She has a shameless, bawdy, and sometimes even tasteless sense of humor, and almost seems to take pleasure in the embarrassment of others.  She's unemployed, but keeps busy by reading, jogging, weight lifting, making homemade crafts, and gardening.  A bit old-fashioned, she doesn't like to watch daytime TV, and she's never afraid to get her hands dirty.

A health nut with a typically slim dingo athletic build, she is almost always on the move, and has plenty of excess energy which she relieves in her personal gym room.  She's also a nudist and frequently works out topless and sunbathes nude on the porch, much to the annoyance of the neighborhood, as well as her oldest and easily-offended son.  Her family tolerates her fiery, outgoing, and sometimes explicit behavior... mostly.

Depite her fitness fanaticism, she loves overweight men, though she's always pushing Darryl to lose weight for health reasons, and regularly drags him into the exercise room whether she intends to get frisky or not.  She's pretty soft on him, though, as his presence and participation alone is enough to make her happy.  Her diet is very healthy, but she's a sucker for beer and regularly donws a few coldies with her hubby after hours.  She's always ready to curl up into a blanket on the sofa late at night, and considers movie night to be the most relaxing and romantic time of the day.

CLOTHES:
Wide-shouldered tank tops, jeans, side-laced jeans, bicycle shorts, jogging clothes, knit and manufactured sweaters, hoodies, leather vests and jackets, and bush hats.  She's course and proud of it -- a biker chick without the ride.  Wears no jewelry, other than beadwork and homemade necklaces.  Sometimes wears face and body paint in public, owing to her aboriginal heritage.  Wears socks only when feet are cold.  Dislikes frilly or overly-complicated underwear, but enjoys wearing formal and fancy dresses to public functions.

INTIMATE LIFE:

Being a stay-at-home mom with a massive libido, she takes her love life seriously, and considers terrific sex to be essential in a healthy relationship.  Her husband is very responsive to stern advances and positive treatment of his heavy weight, and Nokino indulges him aplenty.  In the bedroom, she is the role-play queen and quite a dirty talker, and owns a variety of skimpy costumes, with plenty of props and toys at her disposal.  She's quite loud in bed, at least after moving into a new house with thicker walls.
