Hey, I thought of something funnier than 24! This isn't it.

Just trying to lift my spirits a bit. I got 24 pictures of the Kinktober challenge done pretty much without incident, and I've been over the moon with how much I've gotten done. All of a sudden, #25 has been the first bummer of the month, as it's been kicking my butt for 2 days. I'm just out of time and have to move on if I want to stay on schedule. Hopefully I can come back to my original idea in a few days and finish it.

An attempt at drawing the much younger version of Tawny, in her 20's. Note the lack of ponytail. She wore her purple collar all the time back then, but I forgot it at first I didn't feel like squashing it in as an afterthought.

I didn't quite like where this was going in terms of a full picture, so I decided to color just the sketch. Enjoy.

I remember him from quite a long time ago when I first joined the fandom, so I drew him a bit of fan art. I threw Donryu in there for good measure. :)

Sadly, this is probably the first time I've done color in real media in years.

Okay, I decided to start a meme on FurAffinity. Normally it'd not be a big deal, but it had a huge turnout.

I got kind of tired of the usual things where people would ask to draw random poses and stuff and ask you to tag other people, so I did something different. There doesn't seem to be much emphasis on expressions, personality, and character development in furry art, and good, cartoony action is lacking. So, I started this meme for wild takes, goofy faces, and lots of energy.

Turned out to take the place by storm, and over 600 people (that I know of) participated.... and all that without tagging. You know, there might just be hope for the Internet, after all! :D

This is not the first drawing of Tawny I've made (it's probably the 3rd or 4th), but it is the first time I've drawn her in a non-cubbi style. Since Tawny is a figment of my imagination, she can take several forms, depending on the setting.

Her debut in The Wacintosh Files is the second time I've drawn Tawny. I really don't know when was the first time I drew her, but it was shortly after I got out of college in 2001. These days, I date everything that I draw.

I mean, write a date on it. Not, you know...

A lame attempt at creating a generic model sheet for my characters. For the record, my characters are usually 5 and 1/2 heads tall (5' tall), and the crotch is at the midpoint of the body (everything minus the head), not the whole height of the character. I prefer chubby, short people, like me, even though the “ideal” designer's model is eight heads (or seven feet) tall, and thin as a toothpick. Blech.

This advertising campaign is very old, but still one of my favorites, and the first TV ad I've ever seen that featured a raccoon. The ad was for, of all things, Hostess Twinkies.

Stage open, in the woods. It's the middle of winter. A large, log-shaped yellow object starts falling out of the sky. The raccoon (a very realistic puppet) holds out his arms in awe, ready to catch what he things is a gigantic Twinkie. Instead, he gets smooshed by a snowboard. As the surfer slides away, the flattened critter pulls himself out of the crater, and in a stupor, asks, “Where's the cream filling?!”

Classic. :)
