Some more sketches of my Sonic-style OC, Giraud. I know I'm making him out to be an old grouch, but he's actually a pretty chill guy when he's not having manic episodes. He's had a rough past and did a lot of horrible things, and shouldn't be forgiven without pause, but nonetheless he's spent the last couple of decades trying to redeem himself.

I'm honing in on a mask and fur style that should be easier to draw consistently, but these are just sketches and should do some inks to make sure it works. As for his colors, at first I thought it was silly and too gaudy (which reminds me of “McDonalds”), but now I've fallen in love with him. From his matted fur to his bizarre mustard-yellow pants, it suits his oddball character. Most of my new Mobian OCs are pretty strange, and they should be dressed the part. 8)

Just messing around with some Sonic OCs. I've taken quite a few days off from drawing to do a LOT of writing. I've got several dozen pages of scenes and ideas involving these guys.

Yes, Giraud is a grumpy curmudgeon, mainly because he has a bad case of ESP he can't fully control. I'm not sold on his colors. His best friend Nelson gives him a shock when necessary to keep him civil. I like how the ivory wisps always look angry even when they're friendly. The only reason I'm posting this is to show a bit of character progression. I have a lot to learn about Sonic style.

I got Talia just the way I want her on the first try, though I may tweak the colors a bit. If you've never heard of a springhare (rodent), try looking it up. I was also considering making her a maned rat, kangaroo rat, tupaia, or prairie dog. When I found out springhares are bioflorescent and glow blood red under UV light, I was sold! Whatever the case, she was always going to be cyan and pink.

Poor Clef, Talia's boyfriend, needs some work.

Hey, I thought of something funnier than 24! This isn't it.

Just trying to lift my spirits a bit. I got 24 pictures of the Kinktober challenge done pretty much without incident, and I've been over the moon with how much I've gotten done. All of a sudden, #25 has been the first bummer of the month, as it's been kicking my butt for 2 days. I'm just out of time and have to move on if I want to stay on schedule. Hopefully I can come back to my original idea in a few days and finish it.

An attempt at drawing the much younger version of Tawny, in her 20's. Note the lack of ponytail. She wore her purple collar all the time back then, but I forgot it at first I didn't feel like squashing it in as an afterthought.

I didn't quite like where this was going in terms of a full picture, so I decided to color just the sketch. Enjoy.

A quick doodle I sent to Technicolor Pie with some Wacom nibs. I don't do free art with nib orders anymore because I suck, but I've been wanting to draw Electra for a while, and this seemed like a good excuse. ;)

I used to tape nibs to cardstock and draw around them, but I was worried the tape would make the nibs sticky, so I just draw them in now. So, here's Electra having another episode, but she can't seem to figure out why a smooth piece of plastic won't CUT CUT.

So, yeah, by explaining it I just ruined the joke. SUE ME.

I remember him from quite a long time ago when I first joined the fandom, so I drew him a bit of fan art. I threw Donryu in there for good measure. :)

I'm reselling individual Wacom tablet pen nibs on FA right now, since ordering a full set (with shipping) is too costly for some people. I felt a bit odd sending out plain cards with nibs taped to them, so I decided to get a bit creative and sent out some free art. The result is, “LOL, Mail!”

So, here we have Chucky! He bought a couple tablet nibs from me, and apparently he's using them to taxi aircraft. ;)

Okay, I decided to start a meme on FurAffinity. Normally it'd not be a big deal, but it had a huge turnout.

I got kind of tired of the usual things where people would ask to draw random poses and stuff and ask you to tag other people, so I did something different. There doesn't seem to be much emphasis on expressions, personality, and character development in furry art, and good, cartoony action is lacking. So, I started this meme for wild takes, goofy faces, and lots of energy.

Turned out to take the place by storm, and over 600 people (that I know of) participated.... and all that without tagging. You know, there might just be hope for the Internet, after all! :D

This is not the first drawing of Tawny I've made (it's probably the 3rd or 4th), but it is the first time I've drawn her in a non-cubbi style. Since Tawny is a figment of my imagination, she can take several forms, depending on the setting.

Her debut in The Wacintosh Files is the second time I've drawn Tawny. I really don't know when was the first time I drew her, but it was shortly after I got out of college in 2001. These days, I date everything that I draw.
