Tower of Tawny Bikini 386 Views - 0 Comments

A bikini version of the Tower of Tawny picture, retouched in 2010 as a reference sheet. The other version is only visible in the adult gallery.

This was supposed to be an oekaki for the weekly theme on DTP, but the sketches I did on paper turned out pretty well, so I scanned it and inked it with my tablet. Now you get to see it in anti-aliased glory.

At the time I was still working on refining the style, so I tried a few different poses. These three were the best of the bunch.

And, yes, she has more of the “dork” smile than the “come hither” smile. I rarely find pin-ups interesting, so if I'm going to do them, I'd rather they be silly and fun.

Someone once told me the structure of the Fox family [FoxTrot.com] was very similar to that of the Kanus family. Personality wise, I don't agree, but I thought it would be fun to draw a “Backoutified” version of the first Fox Trot book cover.

Thanks for all the comics over the years, Bill — and what a run it was! May you now enjoy your late-night Warcraft sessions with “only” one strip a week to draw.

I hate those parodies almost as much as the commercials.

This is really just a sketch, but I still like it the way it is.

It's Inspector Carmelita from the game Sly Cooper, holding her good friend, the Shock Pistol. I'm amazed it took me this long to get some real, quality fan art done for this wonderful game.

This picture has proven to be quite popular among Sly fans. So much so, that someone ripped it off and entered it in an official Sucker Punch contest — and won first place. :/

It's Gina Heartpaw, Leigh Anna's cutest character! Well, in my opinion. :)

Everyone else likes her other character, Paige, so I figure I'd draw a pic of Gina. I had a lot of trouble with this one, which is why it took me over two weeks to do it. Originally, I had her sitting on the back of a pickup truck, but it made her look like a redneck (plus, I didn't want to draw the truck)!

I know, I'm bad. Actually, I think it was well worth the effort. Just click the pic, willya? :)

Leigh Anna has drawn several pics for me, but this one is most relevant, here.

Just a silly picture I made for Jon “Datonel” Jennings, which was about two months late, too. :6

Sorry, bud, I just find something really odd about that shirt you wear.

And, here's the pic he made for me in return! Thanks!

A picture for Stefralius! Why? ...'Cuz.

I just felt like drawing a simple Oekaki-ish sketch for him, and it just kinda got out of control. :)

He's a panther husky mix, BTW. I've got to learn how to diversify my drawing style.

After reading one of Susan Rankin's comic strips [Doemain.com], I decided to cubbify her and make a lame joke about cubbi eyes and flashlights. Instead, it just kinda evolved into a pseudo-normal (!) picture of Susan sifting through a large selection of new glasses.

And they say there's no such thing as too many choices. :)

OK, I really should get away from Photoshop for doing color and make more use of Painter.

Anyway, this originally started as an experiment to test a new style of drawing eyes. It eventually turned into a kangaroo, which turned into a kangaroo with a gun and a can of mace, apparently being stalked by something. The coloring job seems to be just as haphazard, really. :)

Here's a spooky B&W retro version (39.4K) for the bandwidth impaired...

...and here's the original line drawing (10.9K) for the subjectively impaired.

Nobody is safe, anymore! MUHAHAHAHA!!!

'Kay, this is just a picture I made for Kebukai Yajuu (now known as Russ Arulo) for no apparent reason, but it's special because it's my very first digital painting! Now that I have a wacom tablet (since, like, last year), I really should learn how to put it to good use.

If you think it's bad that I should cubbify someone I really like, you should see what I do to people that get on my nerves! HawHaw!!!

I really started getting into NASCAR in the 2001 season, probably because that was when NASCAR Racing 4 was released, which quickly became my favorite racing game. My dad and I took a trip to Talladega that year, which was my first live car race, too. Man, it was so freakin' loud!

The cars were noisy, too.

I've since lost interest in NASCAR in favor of rallying, but I'd be willing to attend a race at New Hampshire at some point in the future. The small tracks are much more interesting than the superspeedways.

OK, another parody I couldn't resist. I know this advertising campaign is fairly old, but I still think it's stupid enough to make fun of it.

I also made an alternate version (35.3 K).

Out of nowhere, M.T. Fox (aka Paul Prower), drew me two bits of fan art for my Backing Out comic strip. So I drew him this! Hope you like it, Paul. (One of his pics is on the BO guest art page, here's the other one). Too bad I'm too young to remember “The Raccoons”, an 80's TV show, but I still like the pic.

It's Delphis! Someone you wouldn't know! Actually, he's a very cool pen pal of mine, and for some weird (ahhhh...) reason, I like his art, too. It's also a bit of a landmark for me, since this is the first dolphin I've ever drawn. Yes, that IS a dolphin. Trust me! I still think he looks like a Gelbwurst.

Go visit his art page, and you too can be weird! Delphis' Cove. He also drew a strange pic of me in the shower! If only I was really that thin. I'd really like to know how he knows what color shampoo I use.

Man, did this take a long time to finish. Really. My computer decided to do a hard reset while in the middle of saving the original version, so the file got corrupted I had to do it over again from scratch. So much for saving every five minutes! Luckily, it came out better the second time around.

Here it is, the picture that defined my modern style. I sketched this out on paper, scanned it, traced it in Illustrator (making lots of fixes to the proportions of the head), then shaded it in Photoshop on a Mac at school. It took a long time to finish. But, it was worth it.

BTW, I really do have a collar and dog tag that says “Waccoon!” Now all I need is a purple checkerboard vest! Be afraid! MUHAHAHA!

Here's the original sketch. “One of these pics is not like the other...”

I prefer Manga Tails to “Archie Comics” Tails. In fact, I feel the only Mobian character who gets drawn more inconsistently than Tails is Antoine!

I bought “Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie” on DVD. It was pretty disappointing overall, and absolutely nothing like the SATAM shows (Saturday AM cartoon series), and a lot like Sonic Adventure. As for Tails, his voice is nasal and dorky in the movie, but at least he has a much bigger role than in the SATAM series, and he's drawn correctly, too! If you love Tails, pick up the DVD for cheap.
