Al surprises me again with a random gift, this time to test out some new solvent-based markers. I'm not brave enough to color with markers!

I was recently feeling down given that my puppet hasn't been developing as well as I had hoped, and my good friend Al drew this for me. We had some discussion about character development in my old comics (ie, the good ol' days) and it cheered me up quite a bit.

One of my lesser known characters from the Backing Out cast seems to be a favorite of Alan. Toronto, Rebecca's boyfried, is a doberman with natural ears and tail.

Another surprise from Al. He likes Nokino, almost as much as he likes bugging me to draw more Backing Out strips.

Two “NOs” don't make a right, but they do make a dazzling dingo. ;)

A very early and lazy sketch of Chris with a shocked expression. I don't beleive there's a backstory to this, other than one of Al's many, many attempts to encourage me to draw.

The prolific Alan Foreman has drawn me more guest art than anyone else over all the years, and I believe this is the first. I have a hard time drawing the mask on Robert's face, and some people have told me Robert looks like a cat. This is the solution Alan used.

An easier solution, though, is to simply shoot anyone who calls Chris and Robert, “The Fox and Cat guys.” GRRRRR!!!
