it may be a filter, but somehow i doubt it. just because it's my dad's server and i've used it for all my websites for the past blah years, etc. etc. but it may be possible.
however i did the second test, and i entered probably 15 paragraphs of lorem ipsum and it did fine.
Wacintaki places no limit on the size of the rules page. Offhand, I can think of two possibilities:
1) Most likely your server has a word/pattern filter in effect that is rejecting something you are putting in your rules. By shortening the rules page, you may have removed the offending word. Figuring out these filters can be tricky, but they usually have to do with things that would get flagged as spam or inappropriate content, such as the words "casino" or "sex". Such filtering policies are usually much more aggressive on free hosts, as compared to paid hosting.
2) Your server will only accept so much text. You may have to impose a limit on how much you type into a text box, not just for the rules page, but also for comments. On a picture, try posting a really long comment full of gibberish to test this. Whether a content limit interferes with picture uploads is a different issue, because a picture is binary data (not text), and the web browser will identify it as binary. To get around this problem, you might have to manually edit the "rules.php" file in your resource folder and upload it via FTP. Make sure to CHMOD the "rules.php" file to 664 if you want to do this, or else the rules will be "locked" and Wacintaki will not be able to alter the file in the future.
it was working ok for awhile but now when i click on "edit" i get
