Yes, that's correct. The updater is only for maintaining the database and config files, and those haven't been changed since version 1.5.6.
I should probably change the wording in the updater so it's less confusing.
Edit: fixed in 1.6.9.
My existing board was on 1.5.10, so I used the "Patch for versions 1.1.0 and newer" patch to get updated to 1.6.8.
When I ran update.php though, weirdly enough, it said the following:
Wacintaki Update 1.5.6
1.5.6 detected.
You appear to be running the latest version of Wacintaki already. You may proceed to verify that the last update completed correctly.
Click Next to verify the update.
Proceeding further:
Starting update from Wacintaki 1.5.5 to 1.5.6.
Finished update to Wacintaki Wacintaki 1.5.6.
If you have multiple boards, make sure each board is at the current version.
Click the button below to finalize the update. This will delete the updater files and prevent security problems.
The board works fine, but now I'm not really sure if I'm legitimately on 1.6.8, or if it's just because that's what's written in the PHP files? Is there a way to verify that whatever DB changes have pushed through?
