Yeah, I didn't have any trouble uploading, either.

If you check the log, is there anything that shows up under the category "SQLFail?".  If there's a database insert problem, it might give you a specific reason.

Well, now it all seems to work.  I made a quick thing in ChibiPaint, it uploaded fine, so I tried uploading with Firefox 3, and it worked just fine.  It's a case of taking your car in to the shop, and it won't repeat the noise you've been hearing for the past week.

That error is only returned when trying to upload an actual file (NOT using the oekaki applets).  So, you're saying that applet pictures send just fine, but the "Upload" feature does not?  Normally the exact opposite happens!

Are you able to submit pictures with ChibiPaint?  That applet sends data to the server just like a web browser does, with multipart encoding.  PaintBBS and ShiPainter send data using the more problematic raw POST method.

I think this might be a server issue, and does not involve the oekaki directly, so there's no need to mess with your configuration or database settings.  I use Firefox 3, so I'll register and see if I can upload an image.

My oekaki uses Wax Poteto 5.7.1 to upload images under Firefox 3 and it's working fine for me. smile

There maybe something wrong that might prevent Firefox 3.x users from properly uploading images to their Wacintaki OP. :\

I have an unusual situation.  I previously had a Oekaki Poteto, and since then have changed webhosts, and found out that poteto isn't really supported, so I thought I'd try this one.  Installed fine, of course... and then I wondered if I could import stuff from my old oekaki database!  I checked that all the field names matched, and they do, so I imported the old data, and uploaded the old pictures, and voila, seeming success.   Myself and one other person were able to make and post drawings just fine.  When I tried, it took a few tries, I assume because at the time I was having ftp issues as well, so I thought it was my webhost's fault.  That's not the issue; I got it to work eventually, and apparently so did the other person.

Before I imported all the old stuff, I was able to upload a drawing I did, no problem.  After the import, I try to upload a drawing, and every time it says "Could not insert picture into database. "  I made sure that the pictures directory was writable, but I don't really know what to look for as far as database permissions go.  The user that I have set up for the oekaki has Select, Insert, Update, Delete, and Create permissions.

My oekaki is here:

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me, I know that you are a helpful person in general!  smile
