Here's a few free hosts suggested by another forum dweller.  I don't know good they are, since I pay for hosting.

Ah, Thank you for your help. =] I'll try to see if that works.

I hate to bother you, But do know of any other websites that could host an oekaki?

This an intermittent problem?  There's quite a few images on the board that have been uploaded within the last few days.

First, FunPic has proven itself to be pretty bad at hosting oekakis.  Their security filtering causes a lot of issues.  Plus, even their pop-up ads have been broken for at least a week, which speaks volumes about the quality of the service they are providing.

Second, it appears (based on the images I've downloaded directly from the "pictures" folder), that the red "X" images are simply corrupt.  If the source images are corrupt, then thumbnails will also be corrupt or will not be made at all, adding to the problem.  So long as the image data is received by the server, and the filetype can be determined, there's not really anything I can do in the script to detect whether images are corrupt or not.

Third, if this is happening with file uploads, and not just applet submissions, this really points to a problem with the server, or the connection between the server and specific members.  Unfortunately, the HTTP method does not provide a method for error correction, to make sure that files are uploaded properly.  Files get truncated all the time, and GD does not have a function to test the integrity of an image file.  sad

The only thing I can recommend is to update to Wacintaki 1.3.7, which has a newer method for collecting image data.  It might be more reliable than the method in 1.3.3, but I doubt it.

PS - You have a syntax error in your notice, the last font tag should read <font size="3"> and not <font size="3"<.

Oi, For a couple of weeks now i've been having problems with my oekaki. No one can upload pictures, they just get a box with a red X in it. ^^; And The same goes for drawing/posting them, You just get that box again...
So I was wondering if anyone knows what's wrong or knows how to fix it. Any help is greatly appreciated! =]
