Are you sure all the files have been uploaded?  Certain files that produce no output, such as "version.php" are clearly there, but others required for saving, such as "paintsave.php" and "paintbbsget.php" are apparently missing.

A 404 submission error from the applet is understandable if the POST data is being rejected by the server.  If no POST data is being submitted and you still get an error, this is likely either a server configuration issue, or the file is corrupt so it isn't showing up online.  Try re-uploading all the files.
