Thanks!

Re: changing hosts

There's quite a few steps, but it's fairly easy to move the board.  Don't delete your old board until you know the new one is working correctly.

1) Disable the board by putting an "index.html" file into your oekaki directory, and removing or renaming the index.php file.  This is not strictly necessary, but any comments/pictures posted while you're moving obviously will be lost.

2) Use a database tool like phpMyAdmin to export the database as a file.  If your server control panel doesn't support phpMyAdmin or something similar, you're in trouble.

3) Copy the oekaki folder, plus pictures, to the new server.

4) CHMOD all the required files (see below)

5) Use the respective database tool on your new server to import the database.

6) Open up a copy of the dbconn.php file in a text editor, and update the database information to match the database on your new server.  Copy it to the new server.

7) The board should now be online.  Go into the control panel and change the "URL to OekakiPoteto" to match your new web address.

8) Go into the diagnostics page to make sure that all the files/folders are writable.

CHMOD:  Wax Poteto only

Set the following folders to 775 or 777:  avatars, pictures, resource, templates

Set the following files to 664:  announce.php, banner.php, config.php, dbconn.php, hosts.txt, ips.txt, notice.php

CHMOD every file in the templates and pictures folder to 664.  Otherwise, you cannot edit templates, and members cannot edit pictures, and the board may not be able to delete old pictures and the server will run out of space.
