Hmm... someone who is hosted with "Freehostia.com" has told me of exactly the same issue. We've been unable to resolve the issue so far. Only the "functions.php" file seems to be affected, which is why logins and password recovery returns the error.
If possible, could you e-mail tech support and ask them what this "22" error means? The "functions.php" file has the same boot procedure as the index, so I really have no idea why it doesn't work, while the index works just fine.
The only thing you can try now is the custom .htaccess file. Copy it to the "oekaki/" folder. If the server gives you a "500 Internal Server Error", then just remove the file.
I installed the wax oekaki into my 100webspace website,and
everything looks fine,but I can't log in or recover my password.
I typed everything right,but it only showed a blank screen with
'22 naahh...it will not work!' printed on it.
I did not change anything from the scripts,and the files the installer is supposed to
create are in their right place.
