I saw it done and used it on Poteto's PotetoPoteto mod, it took the data from one of the tables,
and all it did was print up usernames and dates for the month and the next month.
But that would be cool for the future. So people can just look at the front and wish people a happy birthday.

I put up little scroll div tables on the front of my board so it'll have news and "pretty stuff" on the front.
but basically I'd just add an iframe or div scroll thing with the PHP code inside.
